DuoGenic StemCells Corporation (DGSC) is a Taiwanese biotechnology company focused on cell therapy and regenerative medicine, founded on 22 March 2018 at the National Chung Hsing University Innovation Incubation Center and headquartered in Taiping District, Taichung. We believe cell therapy should not be medicine only a few can afford, so we develop the raw materials, processes and therapies ourselves, with the goal of making cell therapy standardized, scalable and affordable.

PCP cell therapy
Peripheral blood cell purification delivering autologous mononuclear cells at over 95% purity. Indications under development: osteoarthritis, osteonecrosis, discogenic low back pain, anosmia, urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. Used in programs approved under Taiwan's Special Regulation.
Process & system solutions
1–10 L 3D closed systems using culture bags, with growth performance equal to flask culture at a fraction of the cost, suited to scaled manufacturing of cell therapy products.
Key culture raw materials
Six serum-free, animal-component-free media: AllPhase, DuoEXO, DuoTSM, DuoVEC, DuoESy and Pluto, covering the main stem cell lineages with high batch-to-batch consistency. AllPhase holds a US FDA Master File.
Recombinant proteins
Produced in an E. coli expression system at an ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 protein facility, including clinical-grade FGF2 and human interleukin-2 (IL-2); process qualification under way, launching soon.
Prof. Hong-Lin Su
Professor of Life Sciences at National Chung Hsing University; Chairman and Founder of DuoGenic StemCells. His research covers induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS), cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
One of the few iPS cell experts in Taiwan whose work spans academic research, industrial development and clinical application, Prof. Su has worked in stem cell science for over twenty years. After early research on dengue and Japanese encephalitis viruses, he moved to neural stem cell differentiation and joined an embryonic stem cell team at RIKEN in Japan, before returning to Taiwan to build a domestic cell therapy industry chain connected to international standards.

From 100–120 cc of the patient's own blood, pro-inflammatory neutrophils are removed and roughly 100 million reparative mononuclear cells are purified at over 95% purity, then injected by a physician into the damaged site to promote repair and reduce inflammation.
Q3How is PCP different from PRP?
PRP supplies growth factors only, uses about 10 cc of blood and does not remove pro-inflammatory neutrophils. PCP uses about 100 cc, removes neutrophils and enriches mononuclear cells, delivering growth factors, a biodegradable scaffold and reparative cells together, for higher regenerative potential.
Q4Which conditions can PCP treat?
Indications under development include knee and hip osteoarthritis, osteonecrosis, discogenic low back pain, anosmia, urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. Osteoarthritis has KOOS clinical data and is used in programs approved under Taiwan's Special Regulation.
Q5Does PCP require hospitalization?
No. Consultation, outpatient blood draw, cell purification and injection are all completed in the clinic. Purification takes about one to two hours and patients go home the same day, with follow-up visits afterwards.
Q6Which culture media does DuoGenic offer?
Six products: AllPhase (clinical-grade MSC medium with a US FDA Master File), DuoTSM (chemically defined MSC supplement), DuoEXO (for exosome research), DuoVEC (endothelial cells), DuoESy and Pluto (human pluripotent stem cells).
