Overview

Overview

Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) have demonstrated great potential in therapeutic / regenerative application.

However from the laboratory to the clinic isn't an easy path, as there are regulations on safety and verification. Also it's rather difficult to maintain the quality and the consistency of the MSC especially during scale up.

In order to gain control over culture conditions, the chemically defined culture medium is a priority choice to most cell biologists, and the traditional FBS culture is disappearing.

DuoTSM is our first chemically defined MSC culture supplement, and it features:

  1. MSC can attach and grow on cell culture plates efficiently without pre-coated ECM
  2. Minimum risk from human / animal contamination
  3. Advanced consistency and improved scalability
  4. Defined formula has great potential for collecting and studying exosomes
  5. Excellent MSC culture performance
  6. MSC remain their stemness (like the ability to differentiate) after few passages cultured in DuoTSM

  • Seeding density: 10,000 cells/cm²
  • Culture plate: Falcon TC-treated 24-well (353047), without coating
  • Cells were washed twice with PBS at 20, 40 and 60 minutes after seeding, and then fixed
  • 1% crystal violet stain was performed, pictures were taken and analysed with ImageJ
