The potential and applications of hPSC have always been the focus of biomedical research — even more so after the iPSC technique by Prof. Yamanaka and the 2012 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
hPSC culture ex-vivo is complicated. Traditionally, a layer of feeder cells must be cultured prior to hPSC, with results easily affected by operational variations and cell-cell interactions.
Feeder cells are no longer required when pre-coating with ECM — but DuoESy goes further: free from feeder cells AND free from pre-coating procedures.
No additional supplements (ROCK inhibitor, growth factors) needed, minimizing human error. With weekend-free option, DuoESy provides better workflow flexibility. hPSCs remain undifferentiated and expand normally over 10 passages, and can differentiate into three germ layer cells with specific stimulation.
